TUTORIAL: Free image/avatar hosting « Thread Started on Apr 25, 2005, 11:37pm »
If you have images (icons/avatars, signatures, photos, etc.), you'll wanna have a place to host them. If you're using the hosting for avatars, be sure to check the TUTORIAL: creating & using custom avatars thread.
You can get an account at http://www.photobucket.com. They're free, but some times you have to join on a certain day if they have too many people joining. It's a free service and the limit is about 250k per image.
To post an image in a post, you click the button (the icon above the post you're making/replying to that looks like a little picture in a frame; 4th from the left on the bottom row) and then put the URL of the image in the correct spot. Like in the following:
