First, you'll need a program that handles image resizing (or get someone to do this for you).

Pick out a photo.

Crop/resize it to no more than 100x100pixels.

Host it on a server that allows direct linking (so you don't have a red X show up for your image).

Go to "profile" at the top of the forum.

Scroll down to "I have my own pic:" and click the box, then put the link to your hosted image in the space, put in the size and click "save."
